If you are like me, you might be asking, what is a salon?
A salon is: “From 1725 the exhibitions were held in the room called the salon carré in the Louvre and became known simply as the salon. This later gave rise to the generic French term of ‘salon’ for any large mixed art exhibition.”

It was such a thrill to get this text from Charles out of the blue. It was a lovely reminder in a moment I was feeling less than amazing that there are always things in life to celebrate. It also felt like a Hello from my dad.  I hadn’t been thinking about him for awhile and it was nice to have him slide into my thoughts for a bit.

I was also excited for Charles Gilbert Kapsner, the artist. He put so much time and energy into this project for me and I really believe that it is one of his finest works and I would love to see his fellow artists honor him for his skills and abilities. I have the November date on my calendar and I will be checking in at that time to see what happens next.
